Rio Ferdinand Makes Prediction About Where West Ham Will Finish This Season

Ex-West Ham defender Rio Ferdinand does not believe his former club will finish in the Champions League places.

The Hammers remain fifth in the table, despite dropping points against Newcastle at the weekend, but while he sees them finishing above Arsenal, Ferdinand feels the David Moyes’ side won’t have enough to clinch fourth spot:

“I think West Ham will put up a fight but probably will go a bit short just because of the depth in their squad. They’ll finish above Arsenal.”

From the sound of things, Ferdinand is backing either Manchester United or Tottenham for the top four, but it must be said neither of those teams have been firing on all cylinders recently.

West Ham are four points behind the Red Devils so they are definitely underdogs but they have every chance of finishing above Tottenham. Arsenal do have three games in hand, despite being level on points, so Ferdinand is being pretty bold to say the Irons can stay ahead of them.

Whatever the case may be, there is a long way to go. Anything could happen in the final twelve matches this season.
