It has been a long way back to fitness for West Ham winger Andriy Yarmolenko but he sealed his return to first-team action by scoring the second goal in the 2-0 win against Norwich yesterday.
It has been ten months since he injured his Achilles against Tottenham and he has been working very hard to get back to his best. Supporters on Twitter were delighted to see the Ukrainian international back on the scoresheet:
So pleased for him!!! Works hard gives his all just needs to get back to match sharpness

…. brilliant to see him back, and his gratitude to the rehab crew too. Needs an injury free 3 or 4 games to sharpen and gain confidence and he (& us) will be flying!

Yarmolenko also hit the post with a rasping volley versus the Canaries and looks very sharp. His goal will likely see him keep his place in the side when the team returns after the international break.
The Hammers face Aston Villa away from home in their next fixture on Monday 16th September. With three wins from their last three games in all competitions, manager Manuel Pellegrini will be hoping that they keep their momentum when they return in two weeks time.
