REPORT: West Ham Set To Propose Loan To Buy Deal For Chelsea Midfield Maestro

West Ham will fight it out with Bournemouth for Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek, according to reports in England.

Both clubs are looking to loan the 22-year-old for the rest of the season in view to signing the player on a permanent basis in the summer.

It remains to be seen whether Chelsea would be open to offloading the England international with Maurizio Sarri having selected Loftus-Cheek more regularly in recent games.

The Italian gave the midfielder his first Premier League start of the season in the 2-1 defeat to Wolves earlier this month, with the player scoring for the Blues at Molineux.

Loftus-Cheek was, however, benched for the game against Manchester City last weekend with Mateo Kovacic replacing him in the side. With Ross Barkley and Cesc Fabregas also competing for a place in the starting eleven, competition is fierce in Chelsea’s midfield.

A move to the Hammers may be attractive to Loftus-Cheek with the club moving in the right direction in the Premier League table and offering more regular first-team football. Whether Sarri will sanction the move, we shall have to wait and see.
