West Ham Lining Up January Swoop For Out Of Favour Chelsea Wide Man

West Ham are interested in signing Chelsea winger Victor Moses, according to reports in the English media.

Hammers boss Manuel Pellegrini is said to be looking for cover for Pablo Zabaleta with backup Ryan Fredericks ruled out until the New Year with a shin injury.

Moses can play as a wingback, but whether he would be suitable as a conventional fullback, it is up for debate.

West Ham are believed to be looking to sign the 27-year-old on loan, with the option to buy at the end of the season.

Moses has been a bit-part player under Blues manager Maurizio Sarri this season after being a regular starter under previous coach Antonio Conte.

The Nigerian has made just one start (in the Carabao Cup win against Liverpool) and has six appearances in total under Sarri. He was expected to feature in Chelsea’s match against PAOK in the Europa League last night but was ruled out due to a back injury.
