West Ham are admirers of Lazio head coach Simone Inzaghi, according to multiple reports in the English media. However, the likelihood of attracting the Serie A manager’s interest remains low.
The Italian has guided his side to third place in the league this season, and some fans on Twitter would like to see the 43-year-old replace Manuel Pellegrini if the current Hammers boss is sacked:
Would love this

Think we need to go for a manager in the Championship who knows that league well and bring in some of the best players from that league. That way they want to step up, and if we get relegated we have the best team next year ?

Of course he won’t come we won’t give him any money we won’t pay any release clause. If it’s not free or cheap or funded by selling everything then no chance! #pisspotclub @davidgold

At the moment, it does appear unlikely that Inzaghi would be open to taking on the role at the London Stadium. The three main contenders for the West Ham job are all British names currently.
Former manager David Moyes, Ex-Brighton boss Chris Hughton and Bournemouth’s Eddie Howe are the frontrunners, although there have been suggestions that first-team coach Enzo Maresca could also be in the frame.
The Italian reportedly masterminded the Irons’ victory over Chelsea and his reputation has begun to rise in recent weeks.
