West Ham Give Pellegrini Just ONE More Game As Three Candidates To Replace Him Emerge

West Ham manager Manuel Pellegrini will still be in charge when the Hammers face Southampton on Saturday, according to the Guardian. However, the Chilean could well be sacked if he loses at St Mary’s.

The London club’s 3-1 defeat to Arsenal last night means Pellegrini has overseen just one win in ten games, with the Irons having slipped to 16th, just one point above the bottom three.

There have been multiple reports in the English media suggesting that the West Ham board have begun to lose faith in Pellegrini’s ability to turn around the situation.

The Guardian claim that there are three leading candidates if the Hammers do dispense with their current manager. Bournemouth’s Eddie Howe, ex-Brighton boss Chris Hughton and former coach David Moyes are all in contention to take over at the London Stadium.

Both Hughton and Moyes would be seen as conservative choices who could help the club retain its Premier League status, while Howe would be deemed a more ambitious appointment.
