West Ham Star Among Nine Premier League Players Being Targeted By Barcelona Ahead Of January Window

West Ham midfielder Declan Rice is one of nine Premier League players that Barcelona have considered as potential targets ahead of the January transfer window, according to reports in the Catalan media.

The Hammers captain joins the likes of Chelsea pair N’Golo Kante & Jorginho, Liverpool’s Fabinho, Manchester United’s Diogo Dalot, Manchester City’s Rodri, Wolves’ Ruben Neves, Southampton’s James Ward-Prowse and Leicester’s Wilfred Ndidi on the list of options being looked at by Barca.

Rice has been heavily linked with a transfer away from the London Stadium but West Ham are expected to demand in excess of £120m for the England international.

With Barcelona saddled with debt and having dropped down into the Europa League, it seems highly unlikely that they possess the funds necessary to go after the 23-year-old.

The La Liga club are said to be looking for a long-term successor for Sergio Busquets but Rice’s extremely high valuation means he will be out of their price range.
