West Ham are still interested in signing Torino centre-back Bremer, according to reports in the English media.

The Hammers were originally linked with the defender all the way back in February but they signed Kurt Zouma from Chelsea in the summer and it was believed that the London club had cooled their interest.

However, since then, both Angelo Ogbonna and Zouma have suffered long-term injuries and a new centre-half is likely to be brought in during the January transfer window.

Torino are said to be open to selling Bremer for around €20m (£17m) to €25m (£21m) due to their financial situation, and the fact that the 24-year-old has only eighteen months left on his contract at the Serie A club.

West Ham will likely face competition from other Premier League teams. Earlier this week, a report in the Italian press claimed Chelsea are watching the Brazilian. The Blues have four centre-backs with contracts that expire next year and they will be looking to bring in reinforcements. Liverpool have also been keeping tabs on the player.
