West Ham are interested in signing Torino centre-back Bremer, according to reports in the Italian media.
The Brazilian has been linked with Liverpool in recent months but the defender is also now being pursued by the Hammers, as well as Everton and Fulham.
Torino are thought to be aware of interest from Premier League clubs and they are wary of the fact that Bremer recently moved agents to one that has a lot more connections in England.
With that being the case, president Urbano Cairo has decided to try and renew the 23-year-old’s contract, in order to get the player to commit his long term future to the club.
That may depend on whether Torino manage to avoid the drop. The Italian side are currently 17th in the Serie A table; five points off the relegation places so their top-flight status is still uncertain.
Back in January, it was reported that Bremer may cost as much as €10m (£8.6m) so whether that would attract West Ham into making an offer, we shall see.
