West Ham Now Vying With One Other PL Club To Sign French Midfield Enforcer On Free Transfer

West Ham and Newcastle are leading the likes of Roma in the race to snap up Marseille midfielder Boubacar Kamara on a free transfer, according to reports in the Italian media.

The Frenchman is out of contract in the summer, and he has also been linked with the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United in recent weeks.

However, it appears that the Hammers are now among the main contenders for Kamara’s signature. David Moyes’ side have had a longstanding interest in the 22-year-old, having reportedly scouted the player all the way back in April 2020, and it seems they have pushed ahead with their attempts to secure his services.

Kamara is believed to have already decided to leave the Stade Velodrome so, with the France Under 21 international now inside the final six months of his current deal, he is allowed to speak to foreign clubs in view to signing a pre-contract agreement.
