West Ham have joined the race to sign Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic, according to the Gazzetta Dello Sport.

The Italian newspaper reports that the Hammers are vying with Arsenal and Tottenham for the Croatian international’s signature.

Perisic remains a first-team regular under manager Luciano Spalletti, but the Nerazzurri were believed to be ready to sell up in the January transfer window.

The Serie A side are apparently looking to finance a move for Fiorentina’s Federico Chiesa as his replacement but they have so far been unable to offload Perisic.

Arsenal tried to sign the 30-year-old on an initial loan deal in January but Inter were only willing to sell for between €35m (£30m) and €40m (£34.6m).

Perisic’s current contract expires in 2022 so there is little chance of a cut-price transfer, although the Italian club could lower their demands.

The Croatian has made 38 appearances in all competitions so far this season, scoring six goals and providing eight assists.
