West Ham fans took to Twitter to share their thoughts after former star Diafra Sakho found the net for Rennes yet again at the weekend.
The Senegal international moved to the Ligue 1 side during the January transfer – ending a long running transfer saga in which he had previously tried to force a move away from the club.
Sakho had previously attempted to leave the London Stadium on deadline day during the summer, flying to Rennes to complete a medical and agree personal terms, only to have the move blocked by West Ham owners David Gold and David Sullivan, who insisted he was “integral” to the club’s plans.
Those statements proved to be false however when Sakho was sold to the French outfit barely six months later.
And the former Hammer has been in fine form since his move across the channel.
After spending his early days in France out through injury, the Senegalese star has since scored three times in four appearances, including bagging a brace at the weekend to help secure a 2-2 draw against Caen.
West Ham themselves had admittedly not struggled without Sakho with both Marko Arnaurtovic and Javier Hernandez have both hitting top form since his departure. Nevertheless, the Hammers fans seem to believe it was a mistake letting their former hitman leave …

Apparently Mr @iamdiafrasakho is always injured according to West Ham's owners and the news put out by our media team, and isn't good enough.
Yet you give him chances and he scores as he is proving again!#WHU pic.twitter.com/tBzAmiA61k— Richard Wenn (@Rich_Wenn) February 18, 2018
