‘That’s A No Brainer’ ‘I Don’t Care The Fee, Get It Done’ Fans Urge West Ham To Sign 19 Goal Striker For £50M

West Ham supporters have been discussing whether the club should go all out and sign Bournemouth’s Dominic Solanke this summer.

The former Chelsea and Liverpool player has been in excellent form so far this season, having scored 19 goals in all competitions.

When asked whether they would spend £50m on Solanke to bring him to the London Stadium, the majority of supporters on X agreed it would be a worthwhile investment:

West Ham will be in the market for a new no.9

Michail Antonio’s contract expires in June and there is also an expectation that Danny Ings will be let go after a disappointing 18-month spell at the club.

It is, therefore, possible that the Hammers will be seeking to sign more than one forward this summer, having also not replaced Gianluca Scamacca after offloading him to Atalanta last year.

Solanke could cost more than £50m

While the 26-year-old would be an attractive target, it should be noted that he only signed a new four-year contract back in September.

Even before Solanke put pen to paper, when West Ham made an approach for him last summer, it was reported that Bournemouth were demanding in excess of £50m  for the player.

Considering the England international’s new deal and his recent scoring record, his asking price is likely to be a lot higher.
