Sky Sports Pundit Hails West Ham Ace Who Put “A Great Shift In” Against Arsenal

Sky Sports pundit Matt Le Tissier was impressed with West Ham winger Jarrod Bowen’s work rate against Arsenal at the weekend.

The 23-year-old may have only had a couple of sighters on goal in the game, but Le Tissier felt the £22m January signing should be commended for his work out of possession:

“He put a great shift in again. As you saw last week, his work-rate is phenomenal. Apart from the real early chance, I think he had one other one in the second-half which was a shot which went too close to Leno.”

Bowen’s energy, along with his goalscoring ability, are two key attributes which have helped transform the Hammers’ lethargic attack in recent weeks.

After scoring two goals against Liverpool and three versus Southampton, West Ham should have got on the scoresheet at the Emirates considering the number of chances they created. One of the key reasons for the team’s improvement in the final third has been Bowen and his teammate Michail Antonio, whose work rate can cause opponents no end of problems.

They will be looking to get back on the scoresheet when they face Wolves at the London Stadium on Sunday.
