Wright Singles Out Three West Ham Players For Praise Despite Arsenal Loss

West Ham were desperately unlucky to come away from the Emirates without a point yesterday, but the Hammers paid the price for not taking their chances against Arsenal.

Ex-Irons striker and Gunners legend Ian Wright was complimentary about David Moyes side’s performance after the game and singled out three players who impressed him despite being on the losing side:

“They done well. Jarrod Bowen had a really good game. I thought him, Ngakia and Diop were very good today.”

Bowen, in particular, has certainly looked the part after West Ham shelled out £22m on the Hull winger in January, and it looks like he has every chance of making the step up to the Premier League.

Ngakia, meanwhile, has been a revelation since being handed his debut against Liverpool and Ryan Fredericks will have a job on his hands to get his place back in the side when he returns from a shoulder injury.

Diop’s performances have also certainly improved after dipping alarmingly earlier in the season, and all three certainly deserve to be praised despite the result yesterday.
