West Ham Join London Rivals Arsenal And Spurs In Pursuing Turkish Ace Who Can Be Signed For £26M

West Ham have entered the race for Besiktas striker Semih Kilicsoy, according to CaughtOffside.com.

The Hammers have joined the likes of Arsenal, Tottenham, Fulham and a host of top European clubs, including Atletico Madrid, in keeping tabs on the young Turkish star’s progress.

Kilicsoy has already shown he can perform at the highest level, despite only being 18 years of age.

The forward has scored 10 goals in 20 Turkish Super Lig games this season, and he has got off the mark in Europe too, having bagged a goal in a Europa Conference League qualifier against KF Tirana back in July.

Besiktas are willing to sell Kilicsoy for the right price

Even though the teenager is one of their prized assets, Caught Offside report that Besiktas will consider selling him at the end of the season.

If the Turkish club do receive an offer in the region of €25m (£21m) to €30m (£26m), Kilicsoy could be sold in the next transfer window.

West Ham are on the lookout for a new striker

The Irons are not exactly blessed with a lot options up front, and their forward line could be weakened even further if Michail Antonio does leave when his contract expires in June.

Technical director Tim Steidten will be on the lookout for at least one new No.9 and Kilicsoy will certainly be on his radar. For £26m, though, you would want someone who is a bit more proven than the Turkish Under 21 international.

The Besiktas star has only made 34 senior appearances, and it would be a gamble to spend so much money on a player who may not be ready to be a regular starter in the Premier League.

If Kilicsoy is brought in alongside a more experienced No.9, it may be a deal worth exploring but it is hard to see West Ham splashing out on a player who is still very young.
