West Ham are one of four Premier League clubs keen on recruiting Torino centre-back Nicolas N’Koulou in the summer, according to Torinogranata.it.
Bournemouth, Wolves and Everton have also been touted as possible destinations for the Cameroon international with the 29-year-old closing in on the final 12 months of his contract at his current club.
N’Koulou is reportedly earning just €1.5m a season with Torino and it is believed he will move on in at the end of the season in order to find a better deal.
The Hammers are likely to be interested in recruiting another centre-half with the Irons having had the third-worst defensive record in the Premier League this campaign.
They are already short of numbers at the back, with Winston Reid having been loaned out to Sporting Kansas City and unlikely to return next season.
With Fabian Balbuena having also struggled for form, a move for N’Koulou does sound plausible.
