West Ham are planning a move for Brentford forward Ollie Watkins in the summer, according to the Sun. The Hammers have been keeping tabs on the 24-year-old after originally trying to sign the player during the January transfer window.
Their offer was, however, knocked back by the Bees with manager Thomas Frank keen to keep his squad together as they look to push for promotion from the Championship this season.
Quite a few fans on Twitter think a move for Watkins would be a good idea:
Looks a big talent, strong fast and can score.

First things first, we need to stay up. Otherwise there will be a mass exodus.

Watkins has scored 22 goals in 37 appearances for Brentford this season, and with the Irons looking to bring in younger players from the lower divisions who can develop into stars in the top flight, the forward looks like an ideal target.
West Ham may face competition for the striker, though, with Chelsea and Sheffield United having also been linked with the player over the past few months.
