West Ham defender Arthur Masuaku was statistically the best left-back in the top five European leagues last weekend, according to Whoscored.com.
The Congolese international was named in the websites’ team of the week after his performance for the Hammers in the 2-0 win against Norwich City on Saturday.
Fans on Twitter are very happy about Masuaku’s upturn in form and are hoping he continues to perform as well in upcoming games:

But I thought Cresswell was the greatest LB to ever play the game? pic.twitter.com/W04FtrH5Um

Masuaku provided the assist for Sebastien Haller’s opening goal and helped keep the team’s first clean sheet of the season versus the Canaries.
Especially considering that Daniel Farke’s side had been prolific in front of goal in previous matches this season, manager Manuel Pellegrini will be very pleased that his side restricted their opponents to so few clear cut chances.
With his individual performance as well, Masuaku has now firmly established himself as the club’s first-choice left-back ahead of Aaron Cresswell going forward.
