West Ham are keeping tabs on West Brom’s on-loan attacking midfielder Matheus Pereira, according to reports in the English media.
The Baggies do have the option of signing the Brazilian permanently from Sporting Lisbon for £8.25m this summer if he plays a certain number of games, but Hammers supporters on Twitter think he would be a good addition if he made the switch to the London Stadium instead:

Matheus Pereira would be a good addition to the West Ham squad – has impressed for West Brom this season and would be a good option for West Ham next season. What with Lanzini seemingly heading for the exit – Pereira would be close to a like for like replacement.

How is he compared to Lanzini?

Pereira has certainly had a good season in the Championship for West Brom, having scored six goals and contributed 16 assists in 34 appearances.
With Manuel Lanzini having had a very disappointing campaign, someone like the Baggies playmaker could well be a suitable replacement.
However, it looks almost certain that Pereira will be moving to the Hawthorns and if West Ham do want to snap up the 23-year-old, they will probably have to pay a premium in order to get him through the door.
