West Ham are interested in snapping up Chelsea midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko on loan, according to reports in the French media.
The 25-year-old does not have a future at Stamford Bridge after Monaco opted against keeping him on a permanent basis. Paris Saint-Germain and AC Milan are also said to be keen on the player but the Blues’ €35m (£31m) asking price is proving a major stumbling block.
With that being the case, Chelsea may have to consider loaning him out for a third consecutive season, with the Hammer one of the potential destinations. Supporters on Twitter are not sure the club should be pursuing Bakayoko:
He is absolutely useless.

He’s far better than most people who call themselves football fans seem to think he is. Probably needs some love from a manager to get the best from him. I highly doubt that is David Moyes.

Definitely take him on loan will give us more physical presence in the middle

Would be fantastic business for us, give us the kind of strength in depth, physicality & ability on the ball we’ve lacked for years with Rice & Soucek as options as well!

Would be a very astute signing, on a loan means 0 risk. Undoubtably has quality shown at Monaco. Gives us the legs in midfield we’ve lacked since Kouyate went and would work perfectly with a Tomás Soucek next to him

Oh another flop on loan …how consistent of us… and we want to know we we gamble with relegation with these owners!

Think this would be a good signing. Should definitely add a clause that gives us an option to buy.

There’s no doubt that the France international has disappointed since arriving in England for £40m in 2017, but if he is available on loan, he could perhaps provide cover in central midfield.
Carlos Sanchez will be leaving the London Stadium next month and Bakayoko would be an upgrade on the Colombian.
