Harry Redknapp Speaks Out On Whether Declan Rice Should Leave West Ham

Former West Ham manager Harry Redknapp has called on Declan Rice to “stay” at the London Stadium beyond the end of the season.

The Hammers’ vice-captain has been heavily linked with a move away from the club over the past year, with the likes of Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea all said to be interested in the player. Redknapp, though, thinks Rice should commit his future to West Ham, as they are one of the biggest teams in England:

“Stay at West Ham. West Ham are a big club, 60,000 people every week. West Ham are a big club.”

It remains to be seen what Rice chooses to do. The 23-year-old has been very vocal about his ambition to play in the Champions League, and there is a chance that he could do that with the Irons.

However, if David Moyes’ side don’t finish in the top four or win the Europa League, there is a sense that the midfielder could push for a move. He has already rejected a number of offers to extend his contract and, while West Ham are still in a strong position, they could be fielding a number of bids for their star player this summer.
