Fans praise attacking trio for role in Watford victory

West Ham United fans have taken to Twitter to praise attacking triplet Marko Arnautovic, Javieer Hernandez and Joao Mario for their role in the win over Watford at the weekend.

The Hammers moved onto 30 points for the season with the 2-0 victory at the London Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Javier Hernandez notched his seventh of the season when he opened the scoring just before half-time.

And Marko Arnautovic equalled that feat, also notching his seventh of the campaign, on 78 minutes to double the Hammers advantage and secure the three points.

When David Moyes took over the Hammers, they were 18th in the table with only 11 points, and the Scotsman has praised his players for what’s been an “unbelievable” turnaround.

“When I took over we were in the relegation zone and I’d have said ‘you’re kidding’ if you’d said we could get into the top 10,” said the former Manchester United boss.

“It’s great credit to the players. We want to keep improving. There’s not that big a points difference between 11th, 10th and ninth.”

A big part of their club’s change in fortunes has been in the up-turn in form of both of Saturday’s scorers.

Hernandez and Arnautovic both struggled in the early part of their West Ham careers, however have come into their own since Moyes took over. Add into that mix the January acquisition of Inter Milan’s Joao Mario on-loan – and the West Ham fans are pleased with what they see up-top for their side …
