“Being Considered…” ExWHUemployee Confirms West Ham Could Make Move For Arsenal Outcast

West Ham are weighing up whether to make a loan offer for Arsenal utility player Ainsley Maitland-Niles, according to ExWHUemployee.

The insider source was responding to a question from a fan on Twitter, when he said that the 24-year-old is a player that the Hammers may look to sign on a temporary basis before the transfer window shuts:

Maitland-Niles has not played for Arsenal since the 4-0 defeat to Liverpool back in November last year. He was sent out on loan to Roma in January but he failed to impress during his time in Italy.

The England international hasn’t been included in the matchday squad for either of the Gunners’ league games this season and he is expected to leave the Emirates this month.

West Ham boss David Moyes may see Maitland-Niles as a decent squad option. He is capable of playing in midfield or in either fullback positions, which are areas of the pitch that could do with strengthening. However, with a limited number of domestic loans available, the club may prioritize other targets instead.
