West Ham are very interested in signing Joshua King from Bournemouth, according to reports in the English media.
The Hammers are looking to add more options to their forward line, and the Norwegian international’s agent has already been contacted regarding a potential move before the domestic transfer window shuts on Friday, October 16th.
Bournemouth are reportedly holding out for around £17.5m, despite the fact that King has less than a year left on his contract at the Vitality Stadium and West Ham will only make a move if the price tag is lowered. Fans on Twitter think that the 28-year-old would be a good addition to the squad:
Get this done @WestHam !

As much as I like Said Benrahma, signing King for potentially half the price makes more sense. PL proven and has scored 48 goals in 5 years at Bournemouth, would be a brilliant signing.

Josh King is a very decent player and I would love him to come to West Ham. Would even go as far as saying I’d prefer him over Wilson given the choice so fingers crossed this one happens. ⚒️

King certainly has a decent track record in the top flight, scoring 48 goals in 161 Premier League appearances. He was the subject of a £25m bid from Manchester United in January but the move fell through. It remains to be seen whether the Irons will get this deal over the line
