West Ham Among 5 Clubs To Have Made Contact About Signing 47 Cap England International

West Ham have made an enquiry about signing Everton winger Theo Walcott, according to reports in the English media. The Hammers are not the only team interested in the 31-year-old, though, with Crystal Palace, Southampton, Fulham and Newcastle also said to be keen on the former Arsenal player.

The forward, who has 47 caps for England, has only played twelve minutes in the Premier League this season and is not believed to be a key part of manager Carlo Ancelotti’s first-team plans.

With that being the case, Walcott could well be allowed to leave before the transfer window shuts tomorrow night. Whether the Irons would actually need another winger, though, is up for debate.

Jarrod Bowen has begun to excel on the right-wing, and with Andriy Yarmolenko and Robert Snodgrass also able to play there, it suggests the addition of Walcott would not be needed unless he was brought in to play in a more central role.
