Noble Reveals The Two Best Players He Has Played Alongside At West Ham

West Ham captain Mark Noble took part in a Q&A on West Ham’s Twitter page yesterday, and when asked who was the best player he has played alongside during his time at the London club, he couldn’t split two names.

In his reply, the 32-year-old said that both Carlos Tevez and Dimitri Payet were jointly the two best players he had shared the same dressing room with:

Tevez spent a surprisingly short time with the Hammers but his impact was substantial, helping to keep the London club’s top-flight status during the 2006/07 campaign.

He arrived in August 2006, and after initially struggling to adapt to English football under Alan Pardew, he went on a hot streak following the arrival of Alan Curbishley as manager.

Tevez scored seven goals and contributed four assists as West Ham won seven of their last ten games to stay up.

Payet, meanwhile, was outstanding during his first season at the club after arriving for £11m in 2015. He bagged 12 goals and provided 15 assists in 38 appearances, helping the Hammers to a seventh-place finish under Slaven Bilic. However, he left under a cloud for Marseille the following campaign.
