West Ham are considering whether to make a move for either Ben Brereton Diaz or Armando Broja before the January transfer window closes, according to reports in England.
Both deals are like to be difficult to negotiate before Monday’s deadline and supporters on Twitter have been debating whether either player could be brought in:
Why not both? We’d still have fewer strikers than almost every other club in the league! Competition is needed!

No chance of either Blackburn pushing promotion so no chance of that and Borja on loan so will be atleast summer before that 🤡

Diaz is so so risky only 1 good season not denying he’s had a great season but might be a 1 off

Much rather broja any day of the week if that deal is possible

Why would Chelsea sell Broja before the summer where his price will be higher and they could attract more bidders? Why would Blackburn sell their top scorer while they’re pushing for promotion? Can’t see either happening if this is true.

I hope it isn’t just down to these 2 , as can’t see either happening.

One whos not technically available and the other has no experience in the PL and carries a huge price tag as a gamble….. ain’t happening.

With Brereton Diaz valued at around £30m, the Chilean international would be an expensive purchase, especially for someone who has only recently found his touch in front of goal.
The 22-year-old had only scored nine goals in 88 appearances for Blackburn before hitting 20 in all competitions this season.
A move for Broja also has its own problems. The Chelsea striker is currently on loan at Southampton until the end of the campaign, and there is a strong possibility that a deal could only be done for the summer.
With West Ham needing to reinforce their forward options now, it would be a massive risk to leave themselves short for the second half of the season when they still have a chance of qualifying for the Champions League.
