West Ham Sent Scouts To See Two Eredivisie Stars In Action At The Weekend

West Ham had scouts in attendance as PSV Eindhoven beat Ajax 2-1 in the top of the table Eredivisie clash on Sunday, according to reports in the UK.

It is believed that the Hammers were watching two potential transfer targets ahead of the January transfer window.

Ajax’s Edson Alvarez is said to have caught the eye, but David Moyes’s side may have a battle on their hands if they want to secure the Mexican’s services, with both Chelsea and Manchester United also thought to be interested in the player.

PSV’s Ibrahim Sangare was the other player that West Ham have in their sights. The Ivorian did have a €35m (£30m) release clause before he signed a new contract in August so he will likely cost a fair bit more in January.

It does look as if the Irons are determined to snap up a midfielder, after failing in their attempts to sign both Amadou Onana and Matheus Nunes in the summer.
