West Ham Plotting £36m Raid For Serie A Poacher As Arnautovic’s Replacement

West Ham are planning on making a bid for Torino striker Andrea Belotti, according to reports in the Italian media.

The 25-year-old is said to have a €100m release clause but the Hammers are believed to be preparing a €40m (£36m) offer for the striker.

Belotti is reportedly being lined up as Marko Arnautovic’s replacement at the London Stadium.

West Ham have agreed a €25m (£22.5m) fee to sell the Austrian to Chinese Super League club Shanghai Shenhua with the money from the deal likely to fund their bid for Belotti.

The Italian international scored 17 goals in 39 appearances last season and would add some much-needed firepower to the Irons’ attack.

Whether Torino will be interested in selling up, we shall have to wait and see. The club’s president Urbano Cairo is said to be a tough negotiator and will likely try to get the highest amount possible for his number nine.
