West Ham Look To Cut Their Losses After Accepting Bid For Unsettled Star

West Ham are close to agreeing a deal to sell striker Marko Arnautovic, according to reports in England.

Shanghai Shenhua are believed to have had a bid of €25m (£22.5m) accepted for the 30-year-old.

The Chinese Super League side previously had a €22m (£19.7m) turned down for Arnautovic, with the Hammers looking for closer to £40m.

However, West Ham have opted to accept a lower figure in order to ensure that the forward doesn’t disrupt the atmosphere inside the dressing room.

The Austrian international has been agitating for a move away from the Irons and it looks as though the club have decided to cut their losses on the player.

Arnautovic was subject to a £30.5m bid from China in January but West Ham rejected the offer. It is, therefore, a surprise that they have accepted a lower bid six months later, considering he had also signed a new contract.
