West Ham Planning Transfer Raid For Two England Internationals This Summer

West Ham are interested in signing Manchester City pair Kyle Walker and Kalvin Phillips, according to reports in the English media.

The Hammers’ interest in Phillips has been known for a while, with the former Leeds man being tipped to leave the Etihad at the end of the season, having failed to impress during his first year with the Premier League champions.

Liverpool have also been suggested as potential suitors for the England international but it is believed that West Ham are the likeliest to make a formal approach this summer.

In terms of Walker, the links to the Irons are a new development. It has been claimed that the 32-year-old’s lack of game time in recent weeks could lead to his departure from City when the campaign is over.

Manager Pep Guardiola has changed his system, which has led to Walker being benched. Two of his former teams, Aston Villa and Sheffield United, have been mentioned as possible destinations, but it seems West Ham may also get involved.
