West Ham Make Contract Over £58m Double Swoop For La Liga Pair

West Ham have been in discussions with Celta Vigo over signing Maxi Gomez and Stanislav Lobotka, according to reports in the English media.

The La Liga side reportedly value the pair at £58m but the Irons may face stiff competition from Valencia in order to land Gomez.

The Uruguayan striker has a €50m (£44.5m) release clause, and it appears Celta value Lobotka at around €15m (£13.5m).

West Ham have already added £10m to their transfer kitty by selling Edimilson Fernandes to Mainz and Lucas Perez to Alaves.

However, the Hammers may need to sell off more players in order to finance a deal for the Celta duo.

Javier Hernandez is a player who is available for transfer, with Valencia also said to be interested in the Mexican, while it has been suggested that Roma are keen on Angelo Ogbonna.

Midfielder Pedro Obiang could also be offloaded with reports that a return to Italy could be on the cards for the Spaniard.
