West Ham Look To Head Off United And City Interest With £100m Asking Price For Key Player

West Ham are not looking to sell midfielder Declan Rice and have opted to set a £100m asking price for the player, according to the Express.

Manchester United and Manchester City are both said to be tracking the 20-year-old but the Hammers are keen on keeping hold of one of their key players and have given notice to any interested team that they’ll have to pay through the nose to get him.

Rice is now a regular fixture in West Ham’s midfield and has also begun to establish himself at international level. England manager Gareth Southgate started the midfielder in both Euro 2020 qualifiers last month and he is expected to feature once more when the national side play the Czech Republic and Bulgaria in October.

The Irons are under no pressure to sell, with the player having signed a six-year contract, with an option to extend for a further season, back in December last year.
