West Ham Join Four Other Premier League Clubs In Battle For Ligue One Hotshot

West Ham are one of five Premier League teams who are tracking Marseille striker Bamba Dieng, according to reports in England.

The Senegalese international actually came close to moving to the Premier League last summer, only for a transfer to Leeds to collapse.

It is believed the Yorkshire club are also still interested in Dieng, along with Everton, Crystal Palace, Leicester and the Hammers.

Manager David Moyes is said to be keen on adding more firepower to his attack, with his side having only scored fifteen goals in eighteen league games so far this campaign.

Whether Dieng would help in that regard, it is up for debate. While he did score for Senegal against Qatar at the World Cup, he isn’t exactly known for his goals.

The 22-year-old has hit the back of the net just twice in total at international level, despite winning 17 caps, and for Marseille this season, he has scored two goals in nine appearances.
