West Ham Have Held Talks With Serie A Giants About Signing 17M Rated Forward

West Ham have been in contact with Napoli about a potential deal to sign Hirving Lozano, according to reports in the Italian media.

The Mexican international was signed by the Serie A club for €40m (£34m) three years ago but, after the player struggled to make an impact, they are willing to cut their losses by selling him for €20m (£17m) this summer.

Lozano was tentatively linked with a move for Arsenal a few weeks ago but the Gunners aren’t expected to get involved in the race for the winger’s signature as things stand.

The 26-year-old can play right across the frontline, which would make him a useful squad option for manager David Moyes. The Hammers released Andriy Yarmolenko last month and, with Nikola Vlasic also expected to leave on loan, there is a need for reinforcements in forward areas, even if a striker such as Armando Broja is brought in.
