West Ham Eyeing Up Bargain Deal For France Under 21 International Defender

West Ham are looking to sign Eintracht Frankfurt defender Evan Ndicka on a pre-contract agreement, according to reports in the French media.

The 23-year-old will be available on a free transfer when his current deal expires at the end of the season and he will be able to speak to foreign clubs in the New Year.

Ndicka has been linked with both Manchester United and Arsenal over the past twelve months, and there are expected to be a number of clubs pursuing his signature.

Sevilla are said to be the Hammers’ main challenger for the France Under 21 international at the moment. The La Liga club may even table a bid of around €15m (£13m) when the January transfer window opens in order to secure his services ahead of their rivals.

Paris Saint-Germain have also been credited with an interest, although Ndicka is reportedly a backup option if they fail to land Inter Milan’s Milan Skriniar. West Ham will, therefore, have a major battle on their hands to snap up the centre-back.
