West Ham And Premier League Rival Both Make Enquiries For 6ft 3 Defensive Colossus

West Ham and Newcastle have both made enquiries for Young Boys centre-back Mohamed Ali Camara, according to reports in the English media.

The Hammers were previously linked with the 23-year-old back in April, and the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool, Crystal Palace and Norwich are also thought to be tracking the defender, but it seems David Moyes’ side have stepped up their pursuit.

Camara was part of the Young Boys team that finished an incredible 31 points ahead of their nearest rivals as they clinched the Swiss Super League title last season.

The Guinean international was actually rewarded with a new contract last month following a superb campaign that saw his side concede just 29 goals in 38 matches.

However, despite signing onto fresh terms, Young Boys are reportedly still willing to let Camara leave if they receive a good enough offer for the 6ft 3 centre-half. Whether West Ham will firm up their interest with a formal bid, we shall have to wait and see.
