West Ham And Palace’s Attempts To Sign Ex Arsenal Star Hindered By 115K A Week Salary

West Ham and Crystal Palace are not likely to make a move for Juventus midfielder Aaron Ramsey this summer due to the Welshman’s salary, according to reports in the Italian media.

The two Premier League teams are said to have made tentative approaches for the former Arsenal player, but the 30-year-old is currently earning €7m a year (around £115,000 a week), which is a figure they are not prepared to match.

Ramsey is reportedly open to leaving Juve if the right offer comes along, while the Serie A side would be happy to get his wages off the club’s books, but a transfer seems to be pretty far from happening at the moment.

Whether West Ham boss David Moyes really needs another attacking midfielder will likely depend on the situation surrounding Jesse Lingard. The 28-year-old has returned to Manchester United after his loan spell but the Hammers are keen to sign him on a permanent basis.
