West Ham And PL Rivals Told To Pay 34M If They Want To Secure German International’s Signature This Summer

Hoffenheim have set an asking price of €40m (£34m) to sell left-back David Raum this summer, according to reports in the German media.

West Ham and Newcastle are believed to be among the frontrunners for the German international’s services, while the likes of Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea have also been credited with an interest in the player.

Raum was in excellent form for Hoffenheim last season, scoring three goals and providing 13 assists in 35 appearances for the Bundesliga club, and his performances have attracted the attention of scouts.

Hammers boss David Moyes is reportedly keen on recruiting a left-back. The London club were mentioned as a potential suitor for Aaron Hickey before he made the switch to Brentford, while Benfica’s Alex Grimaldo is also thought to be a target.

Raum’s price tag would make him an expensive purchase for West Ham and the 24-year-old’s valuation may well put off the Irons from making an offer.
