West Ham, Newcastle and Borussia Dortmund are the three clubs who are the likeliest to sign Hoffenheim left-back David Raum this summer, according to reports in the German media.
The likes of Manchester United and Chelsea have also been mentioned as potential suitors for the 24-year-old in recent days, but it appears that the Hammers have managed to steal a march on their rivals.
Raum only joined Hoffenheim from Greuther Furth last year but he had an excellent first season in the Bundesliga, racking up a seriously impressive eleven assists.
West Ham boss David Moyes is keen on recruiting a fullback in order to provide some competition for Aaron Cresswell and Raum does seem like a very good candidate.
Hoffenheim are expected to demand between €30m (£26m) and €35m (£30m) so a lot will depend on whether the Irons can stump up the funds necessary to secure the German international’s signature.
