West Ham And PL Rival Have Scouts Present To See Two Brazilian Midfield Talents In Action

West Ham and Newcastle had scouts in attendance to watch Palmeiras’s game against Sao Paulo on Tuesday night, according to Homme du Match.

The French website claim that the two clubs are keeping tabs on Palmeiras midfielder Danilo and Sao Paulo’s Igor Gones, who both started the game at the Cicero Pompeu de Toledo Stadium.

Danilo has been heavily linked with Arsenal over the past twelve months, and the Hammers could well be considering the 21-year-old as a potential reinforcement in the middle of the park.

With Mark Noble having retired, and Alex Kral having returned to Spartak Moscow following his loan spell at the London Stadium, manager David Moyes will be looking to fill the void left by the two players.

In regards to Gones, the 23-year-old’s contract expires in March next year so, unlike Danilo, he could be available pretty cheaply this summer. We shall see if West Ham pursue a deal for either player in the coming weeks.
