West Ham Among ‘Several’ Premier League Clubs Batting It Out For Liverpool Star

West Ham are one of “several” Premier League clubs lining up a summer approach for Liverpool midfielder Adam Lallana, according to the Telegraph.

The 31-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season, and if the England international does not agree an extension, he will be available on a free transfer in July.

Talks between Liverpool and Lallana haven’t actually got going yet with the player focused on his performances on the pitch, but he has been a peripheral figure this season, having started just seven matches in all competitions, and made 19 appearances in total for the Merseyside club.

Leicester are reportedly favourites ahead of the Hammers for the midfielder’s signature, with manager Brendan Rodgers having previously managed the player during his time at Anfield.

The Foxes are not the only rivals that West Ham will have to face for Lallana, though, with Arsenal and Tottenham also believed to be monitoring developments.
