West Ham Among Four PL Clubs Battling For £35K A Week Star’s Signature After Contract Talks Stall

Reiss Nelson

West Ham are one of four Premier League teams who are lining up a move for Arsenal winger Reiss Nelson, according to reports in the UK.

The 23-year-old’s £35,000 a week contract expires at the end of the season and he could be available on a free transfer.

Nelson would reportedly prefer to stay at the Gunners but negotiations over an extension have stalled and a departure this summer cannot be ruled.

The Hammers are expected to be joined in the race for the England Under 21 international’s signature by Brighton, Fulham and Aston Villa.

You would have to say that a move to the London Stadium would be the least attractive of the four options on the table, especially considering where David Moyes’ side currently sit in the league.

However, a lot will depend on whether Nelson wants to leave the capital. If he is keen on staying in London, West Ham could still be his preferred option.
