“We’ll See…” 9 Goal Championship Star Speaks Out On Potential January Transfer Following West Ham Links

Coventry City striker Viktor Gyokeres has left the door open to a potential transfer away from the Championship club.

Both West Ham and Crystal Palace have been mentioned as potential destinations for the Swedish international and, when asked about a move in January, the forward was keen not to rule anything out:

“It’s hard for me to say, I don’t know. We’ll see that later. I enjoy Coventry. I get to play. I think it’s important to play a lot of games and be important in the team, not just move for the sake of moving.”

Gyokeres has been in decent form for Coventry this campaign, having scored nine goals in 19 league appearances. The Hammers do have a decent track record of picking up the best players in the second tier. Both Jarrod Bowen and Flynn Downes have been successes after being recruited from the Championship.

Manager David Moyes is also believed to be keen on strengthening his options up front. With there reportedly being limited funds available for transfers, signing someone like Gyokeres, who wouldn’t cost a huge amount, could be a wise decision. It remains to be been, though, whether the 24-year-old is among the club’s top targets for next month.
