‘We Always Have A Transfer Saga’ ‘No Idea Why We Allow These Things To Drag On’ West Ham Fans Frustrated Over Striker Deal Delay
West Ham are not close to signing Celta Vigo striker Maxi Gomez, according to reports in England.
The Hammers had been negotiating a double deal for the Uruguayan and his teammate Stanislav Lobotka, but after a move for the Slovakian collapsed, it seems things have also gone quiet on the Gomez front as well.
Fans are hoping that the move for the forward doesn’t turn into another transfer saga:

No idea why we allow these things to drag on. He either wants@to come or doesn’t and we either pay the price being asked or try an offer. If the offer isn’t accepted then move on. We could have tried to get this done in January before there was other interest

Read earlier we’ve put a time limit on discussions two weeks max, if Gomez wastes time I’m sure Husillos move on and hopefully to a better striker.

It’s quite simple really; if West Ham offer €50m (£44m) for Gomez, they trigger the 22-year-old’s release clause and are given permission to speak to the player.
Whether the Irons are trying to negotiate down the price, or have had difficulties in persuading the player to move to the London Stadium, it isn’t known.
Supporters will be concerned that the club’s hesitation may allow another club, such as Arsenal or Aston Villa who have also been linked with Gomez, to step in and hijack the deal.
