‘We Really Have No Need For Him’ ‘Mid’ Fans Hoping That West Ham Don’t Revive Interest In Man United Star

Manchester United would encourage West Ham to make another bid for Scott McTominay this summer, according to I News.

The website claims that the Red Devils see the Scottish international as “replaceable” and they would be prepared to let him leave Old Trafford to raise funds for other transfers.

It was reported back in August that the Hammers had a £30m offer rejected for McTominay but fans on X are hoping that the move is not revived at the end of the season:

McTominay has had a good campaign for United

The 27-year-old has undoubtedly put in some decent performances since West Ham’s offer was turned down last year. He has hit the back of the net 8 times in 33 appearances.

However, it should be pointed out that Tomas Soucek’s scoring touch has returned this season, having scored 9 goals in all competitions; 1 more than McTominay.

West Ham’s interest is dependent on the manager’s future

The club’s pursuit of McTominay was at the behest of David Moyes, and there is currently no guarantee that he will remain at the London Stadium beyond the summer.

There is a contract on the table to be signed but Moyes has said he has yet to make up his mind on whether to put pen to paper.

If the manager were to leave, it seems likely that McTominay would no longer be considered a target.
