TOP FIVE Premier League Stars (27 Or Under) Who Could Be Free Agents This Summer

Reiss Nelson

With the season coming to a close, there are still a number of high-profile Premier League stars who have yet to sign new deals with their teams.

Usually, soon-to-be free agents are players nearing the end of their careers but, sometimes, much younger stars are allowed to run down their contracts.

In today’s post, we will be focusing on those who are arguably still in their prime.

Press the next page as we count down the top five Premier League players (under the age of 27) who could leave their clubs on a free transfer.

5) Tom Davies (Everton)

Despite making his senior debut for the Toffees all the way back in 2016 and having made 179 senior appearances, the midfielder is still only 24.

Davies has, though, never established himself as a regular starter over the past seven years, and it looks as though he will be moving on to pasture’s new this summer.

Whether he will end up with another Premier League team, it remains to be seen. He could join a Championship club or perhaps move to Scotland, with Rangers having been linked in recent months.

4) Adama Traore (Wolves)

There was a time not that long ago when the Spanish international was being linked with an £80m move to Liverpool. How times have changed.

Traore went out on loan to Barcelona for the second half of last season, but he didn’t pass the audition to make the switch on a permanent basis and he returned to Molineux last summer.

Since then, he has put in some rather average performances for Wolves, having started just ten league games in total, and he now looks destined to leave on a free.

3) Caglar Soyuncu (Leicester)

The Turkish international seemingly had a big falling out with manager Brendan Rodgers as the defender had barely featured for the Foxes this season until his sacking.

Soyuncu has returned to prominence following the appointment of Dean Smith but he is still expected to leave the King Power Stadium when his contract expires in June.

A move to Spain or Italy has been touted for the 26-year-old, who was a key part of Leicester’s FA Cup triumph in 2021.

2) Reiss Nelson (Arsenal)

The winger is believed to be keen on staying at Arsenal, despite rarely being used by manager Mikel Arteta. However, he has still not signed a new deal.

The opportunity to sign a talented 23-year-old (who has yet to realise his full potential) will make him a tempting target for other Premier League teams.

West Ham, Fulham, Brighton and Aston Villa are all said to be keeping tabs on Nelson’s situation.

1) Youri Tielemans (Leicester)

The 25-year-old has been capped 58 times by Belgium and he has been heavily linked with nearly every ‘Big Six’ Premier League club, including Arsenal and Manchester United.

However, Tielemans has not been snapped up by any team yet, which may suggest that the midfielder is demanding a very high wage.

As long as he stays fit, Tielemans will be a big capture for any club who secures his signature this summer.
