After Fulham striker Aleksandar Mitrovic was sent off for pushing referee Chris Kavanagh last week, a greater focus has been placed on abuse towards match officials.

In competitive matches, where emotions run high, it is understandable that some players can lose their heads but Mitrovic’s behaviour should never be tolerated.

Sadly, though, plenty of teams in the Premier League have been charged for disciplinary problems this season.
