TOP FIVE Premier League Players With The Most Goals And Assists Since 2000

Attacking players are defined by their goals and assists, and to be a regular contributor week in, week out in the Premier League, you have to be a particularly outstanding talent.

It’s arguably the highest level in club football, and being a consistent performer over a sustained period of time in the English top flight is by no means easy.

Every player mentioned in our top five will go down as a legend at their respective clubs. They have proven themselves to be up there with the very best.

Press the next page as we count down the Premier League stars who have scored the most goals and contributed the most assists over the last two decades.

5) Harry Kane – 183 goals + 43 assists = 226 total

The Tottenham striker is still only 28 years of age, so he is likely to climb this list over the next few years; fitness and form permitting of course.

Kane may be known as a goalscorer, but his impressive assist record does demonstrate that he does have an eye for a pass as well.

4) Sergio Aguero – 184 goals + 47 assists = 231 total

The Argentine has a very similar record to Kane but he actually played four fewer games in the top flight than the English counterpart, making his figures even more impressive.

Aguero did have some lengthy spells out injured so you do have to wonder what might have been if he had stayed on the pitch throughout his ten years at City.

3) Thierry Henry – 175 goals + 74 assists = 249 total

Widely regarded as one of the best players of the Premier League era, the Arsenal legend was known for his silky smooth style of play, equally capable of providing a sublime pass or slotting the ball in the back of the net himself.

What stands out even more, though, is Henry is above both Aguero and Kane despite playing 20 fewer matches in the Premier League. His eight years with the Gunners were pretty extraordinary.

2) Frank Lampard – 160 goals + 102 assists = 262 total

The midfielder was undoubtedly an outstanding midfielder, and his contributions for Chelsea over the years mean he deservedly goes down as one of the club’s greats.

However, Lampard’s position on this list is more down to his longevity, rather than about his prolificness in terms of goals and assists.

1) Wayne Rooney – 208 goals + 103 assists = 311 total

Both Lampard and the Manchester United striker played the same amount of games in England’s top tier (491) but Rooney comes out on top for goal contributions by quite some distance.

England’s all-time top scorer was not a player who focused simply on his goal return, though, he was a player who got involved in all aspects of the build-up play.
